Furniture Donations and Donation Teams
Ways to be Involved: Donate items or be a part of a team to deliver furniture.
Overarching guide for donating items is that they are in a clean, usable and safe condition. For allergy reasons, we need to make sure furniture is smoke-free and well cleaned of any animal hair.
A helpful question might be, “Would you give this item to a friend?”
All donations to Glocal are tax deductible. If you want a receipt, please ask for a receipt when you drop off the donation. Per IRS guidelines, Glocal does not set a value on your donation. It’s up to you to assign a value to the items you donated. For professional advice, please consult your tax advisor.

We do not accept any large appliances (i.e. washer, dryers, refrigerators).
Please send photos of furniture. Please vacuum and clean furniture before donating. Thank you!
Ways to be Involved
Housing and Hygiene/Cleaning Kits
Glocal provides Housing and Hygiene/Cleaning kits to families who are just arriving and are in the process of making a home here in Boise. These kits provide items for cooking, bedding and items for the bathroom. The list below includes all the items that go into a kit. We do receive used items for many things but they need to be very clean, usable and be safe for using. Many items we do need to receive new. Anything with a asterisk (*) by it needs to be used and unopened.
