Healthcare is an important part of the New Americans coming to the United States. They have health checks before coming and then again once they arrive here. Immunizations are checked and updated along with assessing any health concerns. Family Medicine Health Center does the first screening and then after that, the family may be reassigned to other clinics/primary health providers. Mental Health care is also an important part of care for people who have experienced trauma. There are several agencies/offices which offer culturally competent and trauma informed counseling. These agencies also offer case management for those families who need more care.
